  • Can I bring my child?
    Our afternoon teas are aimed at adults and we suggest they are unsuitable for under 6's. We do not offer reduced children's prices for afternoon tea, however we are able to offer plainer selections of sandwiches for children if that is something you wish! Please let us know in the guest request box or give us a call after booking to let us know your requirements.
  • Do you have disability access?
    Please inform us upon booking if you require step free access into the tearoom. Our venue is set on various levels however we will do our utmost to facilitate any special access requirements during your visit. Please call us on 01702 714766 to discuss any access needs.
  • How do I amend / cancel my booking?
    You are able to amend / cancel your booking directly via your confirmation email from open table. Click 'modify your booking' in the email and you will have options to amend or cancel your booking. We require 48 hours notice if you wish to cancel or move your booking. If you are moving your booking, we will transfer your non-refundable deposit alongside this, provided you have given us 48 hours notice.
  • Can I book with a gift card?
    You can book with a gift card by letting us know in the guest requests box and entering your gift card number. You will need to secure your booking by entering debit/credit card details however you will not be charged so long as you bring your gift card on the day. Gift cards are not valid on our Christmas afternoon tea events or on Mother's Day - this is detailed in our terms & conditions. If your gift card expires during this time we will extend it until the end of February and you will be able to book in for our January/February themed events.
  • How do I contact you?
    The best way to contact us is via our contact form at any time - we will reply to these messages as soon as possible, usually within 48 hours. You can also contact us via phone at 01702 714766 during our opening hours. Our phone lines are manned Tuesday - Sunday: 9am - 5pm. We are closed on Mondays. Please be aware our phone lines can get busy.
  • Do you cater for allergies / dietary requirements?
    We always try our best to cater for individual dietary requirements & allergies. We can offer vegan, vegetarian and gluten free afternoon teas, provided you inform us upon booking. Please see below for our full allergy information: We cannot guarantee a nut free environment and there may be traces of nuts within all of our products Please note that whilst we will do our best to meet your dietary requirements, due to the nature of Afternoon Tea, there may be some circumstances where we are unable to provide an alternative. Please therefore make sure to advise us at least 48hrs prior to your booking of any specific amendments to our usual menu. If your allergy is extreme and you are effected by airborne allergens then we are sorry but we will not be able to cater for your needs. This is something we are saying for your own safety. Our kitchen handles Wheat, Nut, Egg and Dairy products in large quantities and we are therfore not able to offer Afternoon Teas to guests who suffer allergic reactions to any of these products. We do not have a separate kitchen designated for specific allergies. Please inform your server of any allergies and intolerance before you order any food from the menu so we can do our best to accommodate. Upon booking afternoon tea please inform us of any dietary requirements and allergies. We can cater for vegans, vegetarians and gluten free afternoon teas. For any other individual requirements please call us on 01702 714766 and we will do our best to cater to your needs.   • How do I book?
    You can book from our website. This link will direct you to our booking partners open table. Choose from the calendar. Seatings at 12 pm, 2:30 pm & 5 pm will be in the themed Parlour Tea Room. Seatings at 12:30 pm & 3 pm are in our Botanical Rooms. On Sundays at 1:30 pm we have a seating in our Piano Lounge. Please ensure that you choose the correct Afternoon Tea experience. Parties of more than 8 people will need to call us to make a reservation on 01702 714766. Please add any dietary requirements in the guest request box.
  • How do I travel to the venue?
    The nearest train station is Leigh-on-Sea. We are around a 15 minute walk from the station. It is an uphill walk at the start (a great way to work up an appetite!) If you are coming by car, please be aware that parking is restricted on the London Road to 1 hour Mon-Sat. Sundays have no restrictions. There is unrestricted parking on residential side streets.
